There are several advantages on using an automated spreadsheet rather than a written one, some of them are: not have to write a new one every time you make a mistake, using templates so most of the work is done for you, typing in formulas so its electronically calculated and getting the work done faster.
4. Having a spreadsheet recalculated by excel is easier to use because the ones done by hand must be re done every time you mess up, which is a lot of work, but if you just type the new numbers in the spreadsheet it will recalculate by it's self, no work done.
